an adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.

example-

elder people walk slowly.

Types of adverb

1.Adverb of time

a word that tells us the time of an action.
example-

my father seldom goes to the park.

we often go to the cinema.

he went to bed late at night.

I go to the temple daily.

the train will arrive soon.

2.Adverb of place

a word that tells us the place of action.

example-

Rahul lives there.

Rohan is not playing here.

he is going there

you can find horses everywhere.

Mohan and Sohan are inside the house.

3.Adverb of manner

a word that tells us the manner of the action

example-

the dog runs fastly.

he behaved foolishly.

he speaks English fluently.

Indian army fought bravely.

Nisha works properly.

4.Adverb of number/frequency

the word which is used to show a number of actions of the verb.

Ankit often comes late.

5.Adverb of degree or quantity

the word which is used to show the degree of action.

example-

I hardly disagree with you.

9.Interrogative adverb

the word which is used to ask questions.

10.Relative adverb

the word which is used to join sentences or clauses.

example-

I know the time when he will come.

I know the place where he was born.

I know the reason why he got angry.
