Use of this and that
This
- This is used to point to the nearby object.
- or we can say that when we want to point to something near us, then we should use the word 'this.'
- It is the singular form.
- So 'is' used with this.
Let's read some example -
this is a cat.
this is a dog.
this is a pencil.
this is my bicycle.
this is a table.
this is a car.
this is an airplane.
this is a kite.
this is my ball.
this is a mouse.
That
- that is used to point to the far object.
- or we can say that when we point to something far away from us, then we should use the word 'that.'
- That is also a singular form. So' is' used with this.

that is a dog.

that is a ball.
that is a book.
that is a car.
that is a phone.
that is a bicycle.
